Madi is a community-based Senior Occupational Therapist, working with adults living with neurological and physical disabilities under the NDIS.
After witnessing the positive impact an OT had on her sister’s life, Madi wanted to provide the same level of support to those that didn’t think life would return to ‘normal’ after diagnosis. This experience continues to shape her person-centred and compassionate approach to practice.
She has extensive experience completing functional capacity assessments, specialist disability accommodation assessment, prescribing assistive technology (including hoists, standard and tilt in space commodes, manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, electric bed and pressure care mattresses), as well as providing ongoing therapy to support independence in daily living.
Madi values collaboration and works closely with physiotherapists, speech pathologists, and support coordinators to deliver holistic, goal-focused outcomes for her clients.
Madi also holds statewide prison clearance, allowing her to support people with disabilities who are in custody or navigating access requests.
Madi’s OT Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy), Curtin University
- Registered Occupational Therapist (AHPRA)
- FIM Accredited
- Postural Course (Sonya Horsman)
