Recognising the unique challenges faced by those in remote areas, the Optimal Therapy Team is pleased to announce that we are now accepting tele-health referrals for all regional and remote areas in Western Australia.
This initiative ensures that individuals living in remote communities have the opportunity to access high-quality occupational therapy services from the comfort of their own homes.
Having expanded our practice to the Great Southern region in 2021, we have developed a deeper understanding of the barriers to accessing occupational therapy services in regional and remote areas of Western Australia. Tele-health services will support individuals who are currently unable to receive therapy services in their local area, access the support they require.
Benefits of Telehealth Services:
Optimal Therapy’s telehealth services offer numerous benefits for individuals with disabilities in regional and remote Western Australia. Some key advantages include:
Telehealth eliminates the barrier of distance, allowing individuals with disabilities to receive healthcare services from the comfort of their own homes or local clinics, regardless of their location.
Telehealth eliminates the need for time-consuming and potentially challenging travel for appointments. Patients can schedule consultations at a time that suits them best, reducing stress and logistical difficulties.
Telehealth enables multidisciplinary collaboration, where therapists, caregivers, and family members can join virtual sessions to coordinate care, share information, and work together towards achieving the best outcomes.
